A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the US and Iran could be signed as early as Sunday, June 14, in Geneva, Ukrainska Pravda reports, citing CNN. The signing would launch a second phase of negotiations. Vienna is also being considered as a possible location.
US Donald Trump had previously called off planned strikes on Iran after the negotiating points largely converged. Iran’s foreign minister said a deal is “closer than ever.” The memorandum is expected to provide for a 60-day ceasefire to work out a final agreement.
EuroPulse reported on June 12 about Trump’s cancellation of strikes on Iran after phone calls (Trump cancels planned attack on Iran after calls).
