According to News on Tuesday, the same US Air Force pilot was shot down twice within weeks during the ongoing conflict with Iran. The first incident was a friendly-fire shootdown by Kuwaiti air defenses, which the pilot survived. Shortly after, his F-15E was shot down over Iran, and he was rescued.
Military officials described the case as extraordinarily rare. The exact circumstances of the two shootdowns and the timing of the rescue were not disclosed.
