The US strikes came in response to the attack on a cargo ship. The US Central Command (Centcom) said the ‘unprovoked aggression’ against the merchant vessel was ‘clearly’ a violation of the ceasefire.
The strikes targeted Iranian missile and drone storage sites as well as radar installations along the coast, the US regional command responsible for the Gulf region said on Friday.
