The United States says it is 'more than capable' of resuming the war with Iran if no deal is reached. Donald Trump made the statement, as reported by Deutsche Welle.

The US government has reiterated its readiness to resume the war with Iran at any time. ‘We are more than capable of resuming the war,’ Deutsche Welle quoted the Defense Ministry as saying. Donald Trump also made clear that any sought-after peace deal must include his ‘red lines.’

Iran rejected the portrayal of an already negotiated agreement. Tehran denies that there is a final deal, it said. The contradictory statements leave the outcome of the talks open.

EuroPulse reported on May 30, 2026, about Trump’s ultimatum to Iran to reopen the Strait of Hormuz (link).
