The reopening, following technical renovations completed on time and within budget, unexpectedly drew a large number of visitors. Director Michael Buhrs reported that the line extended to the Angel of Peace, highlighting the anticipation for the exhibitions.
Artist Ilit Azoulay documented the long queue in an Instagram reel, capturing the excitement of the visitors. The exhibitions at Lenbachhaus address important social issues such as housing shortages, unemployment, emancipation, and queerness, further increasing interest in the event.
The new Mayor of Munich, Dominik Krause, is expected to visit Villa Stuck soon to view the current exhibitions. This could further emphasize the significance of the Various Others art initiative and draw attention to the city’s cultural offerings.
