According to Bavarian Broadcasting, the interior ministry registered a record number of offenses with a xenophobic background last year. Most of these crimes were politically motivated from the far right, the response to a query by the Green Party in the state parliament states.
The ministry did not provide exact figures. The Greens called for consequences, pointing to increasing radicalization in the far-right spectrum. The state government must take more decisive action against hate and incitement, they said.
