Ukrainian military expert and reserve colonel Roman Svitan told 24 Kanal that Russian troops have currently paused operations. This means that part of their equipment, ammunition, and soldiers are being prepared as a strategic reserve. The Ukrainian armed forces are using this phase for successful operations on various front sections.
According to Svitan, the enemy is preparing for new offensives. The strategic reserves are expected to be deployed during the summer, likely around August, after the harvest and the end of spring rains. Then the Russian army could use these reserves for breakthroughs.
The expert emphasized that the Ukrainian armed forces are currently experiencing positive momentum. If the Russians cannot organize large-scale attacks, they focus on specific sections from which Ukrainian defenders drive them out. One of the priority front lines is the Zaporizhzhia region, particularly the western part. The Russian logistics route from Rostov or Taman to Vasylivka is about 500 kilometers long and is under fire from Ukrainian drones with a range of about 150 kilometers.
