Russian forces struck Kyiv with ballistic missiles and combat drones overnight on the 24th. According to the Ukrainian Air Force, Mayor Vitali Klitschko, and the head of Kyiv’s military administration, Tymur Tkachenko, there were numerous hits on residential buildings. Preliminary reports indicate 44 people were wounded and one woman was killed.
At least ten loud explosions were heard in various districts. Tkachenko warned of possible further attacks and urged residents to stay in shelters. In the Shevchenkivskyi district, missile debris hit a 24-story high-rise, causing damage and injuring three people. In the Solomianskyi district, a drone struck a 24-story residential building, sparking a fire on the 20th floor. A private house was also damaged. In the Podilskyi district, debris fell on an unoccupied plot, and in the Darnytskyi district, debris landed on the roof of an apartment building.
