A 30-year-old man in Kyiv looted an office damaged by a Russian missile strike in the Solomianskyi district, stealing a laptop worth 40,000 hryvnias. Passersby noticed the perpetrator and detained him until police arrived.

The incident occurred on May 24, when the Ukrainian capital was still reeling from the aftermath of the Russian attack. The perpetrator entered a building in the Solomianskyi district that had been damaged by the explosion and stole a laptop and charger worth 40,000 hryvnias (about 900 euros).

According to police, alert passersby noticed the burglar and held him until officers arrived. The 30-year-old suspect was charged under Article 186 Part 4 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine – robbery during martial law. The police thanked the citizens for their assistance.
