According to regional governor Oleh Kiper, the attack destroyed the facade, doors, and more than 30 windows of the hospital. At the time of the strike, six women with newborns and one woman in labor were in the maternity ward. Neither patients nor staff were injured.

Cleanup operations are underway. The incident is part of a series of Russian attacks on medical facilities in Ukraine. During the night of June 1, Russia also launched 265 attack drones — Shahed, Gerbera, Itelmas, and Parodiya imitation drones — against Ukraine.
