A 30-meter-long concrete canopy collapsed onto the sidewalk in Westerland on Sylt on Tuesday. According to FAZ, residents were startled by a loud bang. Emergency doctors and the Technical Relief Agency (THW) responded.
The affected building was evacuated. No injuries were initially reported. The exact cause of the collapse remained unclear on Tuesday.
