Keir Starmer (Labour) sharply escalated his rhetoric against Elon Musk, the Guardian reports. The owner of the platform X (formerly Twitter) has interfered in British politics and is trying to sow discord, Starmer said. He stressed that Britons are ‘reasonable, tolerant people’.
The background is weeks of Musk’s posts on X about the murder of Henry Nowak in Southampton. According to Starmer’s office, many of these posts echoed far-right narratives and talking points. The prime minister also backed an MP’s legal action against Musk’s AI company Grok over fake sexualised images.
The incident marks a clear escalation in relations between the British government and the tech billionaire. Musk had previously repeatedly criticised the judiciary and police in Britain, using terms like ‘two-tier justice’. The government rejected these allegations the day before.
EuroPulse reported on 4 June 2026 on the British government’s rejection of the ‘two-tier justice’ allegation after the Nowak murder (https://europulse.today/uk-politics-live-two-tier-justice-nowak/).
