Norway’s men’s national football team has qualified for a World Cup for the first time since 1998. The team, led by star player Erling Haaland, will travel to North America in the summer of 2026, where the tournament will be held in the United States, Canada, and Mexico.
Before departing for the tournament, the players had to don Viking costumes for the official team photo. The association presented the image in a Viking design, a tribute to the country’s Nordic history. The stunt caused a stir on social media.
