The district council of Ilm-Kreis in Thuringia rejected the acceptance of funding for democracy projects at the request of the AfD. The rejection does not incur any additional costs for the district, as Spiegel reports.
The non-partisan district administrator of Ilm-Kreis announced that she wants to reverse the decision. She is hoping for a citizen referendum to overcome the blockade of democracy funding.
