Monaco Grand Prix ended for Max Verstappen as early as the first lap. The four-time world champion had to park his Red Bull after an early retirement. The exact cause of the Dutchman’s exit is not yet known.

The race also experienced an unusually long interruption because the asphalt on the track came loose. Race control decided to deploy the red flag to have the track repaired. The pause lasted several minutes.

Despite the chaotic conditions, the winner made history. Spiegel did not disclose who exactly won. Monaco race is considered one of the most prestigious on the Formula 1 calendar.
