Deputy Minister for Reconstruction and Minister for Development of Communities and Territories of Ukraine Oleksiy Kuleba said that after negotiations between the Ukrainian ministry and the Polish Interior Ministry, an agreement was reached. The Polish side has dropped its plan to suspend bus processing at Shehyni-Medyka during repair work.
The checkpoint is one of the busiest on the Polish border. Originally, bus passage was to be suspended from June 15 until November 2027, as announced on June 10. The new arrangement applies for the entire summer season.
Kuleba thanked Polish colleagues and the Ukrainian embassy in Poland for the constructive dialogue. The agreement ensures a stable transport link between Ukraine and Poland for passengers and international transport companies.
