Double Murder in Kyiv: Suspect from Caucasus Arrested

Police in Kyiv's Desnianskyi district have arrested a man from the Caucasus who allegedly shot two compatriots. The victims were suspected of looting apartments after Russian shelling.

According to Kyiv police, the suspect was arrested on the premises of a garage. He is alleged to have shot two men, aged 36 and 51, with two different weapons. The victims were also acquaintances from the Caucasus.

The incident occurred around 10:00 p.m. in a garage complex. One seriously injured man was taken to hospital but died shortly after. Inside the garage, officers found a second body with gunshot wounds.

Andriy Nebytov, head of Kyiv police, said the dispute escalated over money. The victims were suspected of looting apartments after Russian missile strikes. The suspect worked at a car repair shop and initially fled but was caught. He faces life imprisonment.
