The attack occurred in the Kholodnohirskyi district. Around 11:00 p.m. on June 14, a Shahed-2 drone hit an unused building, sparking a fire. Crews from the State Emergency Service (DSNS) arrived to extinguish the flames.
While they were working, the Russian army struck again — this time with four missiles. Four rescuers and a city emergency department employee, Oleksiy Dorozhkin, were killed. Six other rescuers and three civilians were wounded.
That same night, another drone struck the Shevchenkivskyi district of Kharkiv. A woman was injured, and several residential buildings and cars were damaged by the blast wave and shrapnel. The prosecutor’s office has opened a pre-trial investigation into war crimes under Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
