Russian Attack on Kramatorsk: One Dead, Several Seriously Injured

A Russian strike on the eastern Ukrainian city of Kramatorsk killed a woman born in 1948 and wounded three others, according to the head of the local military administration, Oleksandr Hontscharenko.

Russian forces attacked the city of Kramatorsk at around 11:30 a.m., targeting a residential area with apartment buildings, according to Oleksandr Hontscharenko, head of the city’s military administration. A woman born in 1948 was killed in the strike.

Three other people were injured: a woman born in 1938 and two men born in 1956 and 1983. Hontscharenko said two of the wounded are in critical condition and receiving medical care.

Preliminary police findings indicate that cluster munitions were used in the attack. Photographer Jan Dobronossov, who witnessed the shelling, released a video showing the explosions and aftermath. He reported that, based on his initial information, there were no direct hits on buildings.
