Satellite imagery from independent observers confirmed the fires. In Kerch, the blaze hit the AEGAZ-Terminal liquefied gas complex and, about 600 meters to the west, a fuel depot operated by the TES company. A 66-kilometer-long smoke plume drifted from Port Kavkaz on the Russian side of the Kerch Strait across the sea.
The attacks also struck military infrastructure. A fire was recorded on the grounds of Russian military unit 98546, which hosts the 630th separate railway battalion. Thermal signatures were also detected at the Chonhar railway bridge, which had already been damaged on June 13. Fires also broke out at Cape Zyuk, a site of Russian S-300/S-400 air defense systems.
The overnight strikes follow a series of targeted attacks on Russian logistics. On June 20, Ukrainian forces hit four gas compressor stations in Crimea, according to Robert Browdi. Ukraine also reported strikes on a bridge over the Henichesk Strait, a fuel truck, and a Pantsir-S1 air defense system.
