Russian forces launched a missile strike on the Zmiiv community in the Chuhuiv district of the Kharkiv region, killing a 55-year-old woman and injuring at least eight people, reported Oleh Syniehubov, head of the regional military administration.
Among the wounded are a 32-year-old woman, a 53-year-old woman, and men aged 28, 41, 26, and 50. A 10-year-old girl and a 16-year-old boy also sustained blast injuries. The number of injured was later revised upward from five to eight.
According to Syniehubov, the missile struck civilian infrastructure. Emergency services are on site, with cleanup and assistance to victims underway. Air raid alerts remain active in the Kharkiv region; authorities urge residents to stay in shelters until the all-clear is given.
