Ukraine continues its drone strikes on Crimea to degrade fuel supplies and air defenses. In June alone, more than 40,000 targets were hit. The attacks have halted ferries and triggered fuel shortages across Russia.

Diplomatic and economic pressure

Diplomatically, Ukraine is signaling waning patience, the Kyiv Post reports. At the same time, it is undermining Russia’s economy ahead of the Duma elections scheduled for September. Kremlin insiders reportedly want the elections postponed.

New weapons and open technology

Britain, the Netherlands, and Germany are developing cheap long-range missiles for Ukraine independently of the US. Additionally, Ukraine is publishing captured Russian military technology openly, cutting off America’s previously exclusive intelligence access.

The Kyiv Post reports that the past week was one of the most stable and uneventful in months. The overall trend shows that Russia is losing and Ukraine may be winning.
