Brandenburg’s Minister Dietmar Woidke (SPD) has accused the federal government of underestimating the importance of Eastern Europe. When it comes to expanding rail and bridge connections to Poland, it is ‘obvious that the federal government is failing to seize the potential that better links to Eastern Europe would unlock,’ said Germany’s longest-serving state premier on Friday. The occasion was a visit by Pawel Gancarz, the Marshal of Brandenburg’s partner voivodeship of Lower Silesia, to the state chancellery in Potsdam.
