Marozsán was captain of the German women’s national team from 2016 to 2019. Her greatest success came in 2013 when she scored the decisive goal in the European Championship semi-final against Sweden. Years later, she scored again against Sweden in the Olympic final, securing gold for Germany.
The native Hungarian moved to Germany at age four. She played for 1. FC Saarbrücken, 1. FFC Frankfurt, and Olympique Lyon. Most recently, she was under contract with Al-Qadsiah WFC in Saudi Arabia. With Frankfurt and Lyon, she won the Champions League multiple times.
Marozsán had already retired from the national team in March 2023. In her farewell message, she wrote: “The ball was the only thing that made me happy. It was the love of the game and the joy with my teammates.”
