Turkey will now participate in the Prioritized Ukraine Requirements List (PURL), a NATO mechanism to finance US weapons for Ukraine.

Until now, Turkey had stayed out of the PURL mechanism, citing its mediator role between Moscow and Kyiv. With this accession, Ankara shifts its stance. Five NATO members remain absent from the fund.
