Ukraine has reached a political agreement with the United States on a license to produce Patriot missiles, President Volodymyr Selenskyj announced. Technical teams are now to push ahead with implementation.

Ukraine has reached a political agreement with the United States on a license to produce Patriot missiles, President Volodymyr Selenskyj announced. Technical teams are now to push ahead with implementation.

Selenskyj said the US had recognized Ukraine as one of the few countries technologically ready to manufacture the defense system. “We have resolved the issue politically,” the president stated. Now the technical groups of all involved ministries must begin work without delay to obtain the licenses as quickly as possible.

Trump announced the license on July 8 on the sidelines of the NATO summit. At the same time, he said the US wanted to buy drones from Ukraine. Selenskyj thanked the American side for the decision.
