The Ukrainian General Staff said the operation hit 13 tankers, three cargo ships, a ferry and an auxiliary vessel. These ships had been used to transport fuel, military goods and other supplies for the Russian armed forces.
Robert Brovdi, commander of Ukrainian drone units, specified that drones struck 13 ships near occupied Crimea – including ten tankers, one cargo ship, one ferry and one tugboat. All tankers were identified as part of Russia’s sanctioned shadow fleet. In addition, Ukrainian drones attacked five power substations in Crimea, including facilities near Saky, Yevpatoria and Medvedeve.
The General Staff also reported strikes on fuel infrastructure in Russia: the Ilsky refinery in the Krasnodar region, where explosions sparked a fire, as well as Kurgannefteprodukt in Taganrog and Azovnefteprodukt in Azov. The Novatek Ust-Luga gas condensate processing plant in the Leningrad region was also hit. According to Ukraine, these facilities supply fuel to the Russian army. The extent of the damage could not be independently verified.
