The International Register of Damage for Ukraine has opened new categories for claims from the state and legal entities. According to European Pravda, claims for damaged or destroyed residential and non-residential property can now be filed.

The International Register of Damage for Ukraine has expanded its claims procedure. Newly added categories B1.3, C1.3, B1.4, C1.4, B1.5, and C1.5 cover damage to residential and non-residential real estate. Claims in the B categories can be filed by Ukraine and its authorities, while the C categories are open to legal entities.

The new categories include damage to living spaces such as apartments and private houses, common areas in multi-apartment buildings, and public buildings. Non-commercial non-residential property owned by legal entities is also covered. Eligible applicants include homeowners’ associations, housing cooperatives, and non-profit organizations – with the exception of Russian companies.

After review, claims will be forwarded to the future International Compensation Commission, which will decide on the amount of compensation. April 29, the register has been accepting claims from legal entities and authorities, since February also for forced displacement, and since March from individual entrepreneurs.
