In Russia’s war of aggression against Ukraine, several cities were hit on August 27, according to the BBC. Kyiv and the region, as well as Odesa, Kharkiv, Zaporizhzhia, Kryvyi Rih, and the Poltava and Sumy regions, came under attack. Warehouses are burning in Boryspil and the Fastiv district.
In Kyiv, a drone struck near the Dynamo stadium, injuring four people. In Kharkiv, a drone hit a shopping center, killing a 40-year-old man and injuring at least five others. The Air Force reported that Russia launched about 140 attack drones during the day, of which air defense shot down about 120.
Overnight, Russia also used two Oniks missiles, ballistic Iskander-M/KN-23 missiles, and 258 attack drones. In the capital, several residential buildings were damaged, including a four-story building in the Podil district, where a fire broke out on the roof.
