At the "Dialogues on Europe" forum in Transcarpathia, Luboš Veselyi, the Czech Ambassador to Ukraine, stated that Czech support for Ukraine remains steadfast. "I think it is clear not only from official statements that our current government, like the previous one, supports Ukraine. Nothing has changed in that regard," Veselyi said.
He pointed out that the current government communicates less about its support for Ukraine. "The only change is that the current government is less vocal about what it is doing (for Ukraine – ed. note), but it is still doing it," the ambassador added. Veselyi emphasized that the Czech government prefers to achieve concrete results rather than engage in extensive discussions.
The forum, scheduled for May 10, 2026, near Uzhhorod, will focus on analyzing the new political reality in the European Union and its implications for Ukraine and the Central European region. Diplomats and leaders from the public sector and non-governmental organizations from the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, and the Netherlands will participate in the forum.
