On May 10, an armed attack occurred in the Podilskyj District of Oblast against military personnel from the Territorial Recruitment Center (TCK). The incident took place in the village of Baibuzivka when a man attacked the soldiers with a knife during a check of his military documents, inflicting multiple stab wounds.
Both injured soldiers were promptly taken to a hospital and are in critical condition. According to the TCK, this is considered a targeted assassination attempt against Ukrainian defenders fulfilling a state duty.
Investigative authorities have immediately initiated a procedure to investigate the incident. The head of the Odessa TCK emphasized that those responsible will face maximum legal consequences.
