The prosecutor's office stated that the responsibility for adhering to procedural deadlines lies with the court. "The conduct of the proceedings in a timely manner is the responsibility of the court. Therefore, the prosecution is not authorized to evaluate the actions of the defense," the agency said.
Additionally, unian.net reported that Sinitschenko allegedly attempted to take his own life during the proceedings. This could affect the perception of his mental state and the strategy of his defense. However, the prosecutor's office has not received any information regarding alleged threats against Sinitschenko in prison.
