In the case of the murder of former MP Irina Farion, the prosecutor's office in Lviv has responded to inquiries about the duration of the proceedings. As reported by Liga.net, the prosecution did not express an opinion on the repeated delays caused by the defense. The trial against Vyacheslav Sinitschenko, who is alleged to have murdered Farion, is influenced by various factors, including his public behavior during the hearings.

The prosecutor's office stated that the responsibility for adhering to procedural deadlines lies with the court. "The conduct of the proceedings in a timely manner is the responsibility of the court. Therefore, the prosecution is not authorized to evaluate the actions of the defense," the agency said.

Additionally, unian.net reported that Sinitschenko allegedly attempted to take his own life during the proceedings. This could affect the perception of his mental state and the strategy of his defense. However, the prosecutor's office has not received any information regarding alleged threats against Sinitschenko in prison.

There is also ongoing discussion about the need for an additional psychiatric evaluation of the defendant to assess his sanity. According to pravda.com.ua, this could be crucial for the further conduct of the trial.
