German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius arrived in Kyiv this morning for an unannounced visit. The aim of the visit is to strengthen cooperation between Germany and Ukraine, particularly in the development of unmanned weapon systems. Pistorius emphasized that the two countries want to work together on the development of "state-of-the-art unmanned systems across all ranges" to enhance the security of both nations.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky reported that robots have taken a Russian position for the first time, showcasing the progress Ukraine has made in unmanned technologies. Pistorius stated that the capability for "Deep Strike" is crucial for destroying key attack targets in the enemy's rear.

NATO partners in Europe still have capability gaps in the area of long-range weapons that need to be addressed. Pistorius pointed out that Ukraine's battlefield experiences should help close these gaps as quickly as possible. Germany is also pursuing a new military strategy, which Pistorius explained in a recent interview.

The German government plans to initiate further German-Ukrainian joint ventures. A special platform will support developers who can offer innovative solutions in weapon technology. Ukraine has already made significant advancements in drone technology and is considered a leader in this field.
