The new ARD “Germany Trend” by Infratest dimap shows a clear lead for the AfD over the Union. If a federal election were held on Sunday, the AfD would get 27 percent, the Union 22 percent. The gap is thus five percentage points.

The governing parties continue to lose support. The SPD drops one point to 12 percent. The Greens gain one point to reach 15 percent. The Left improves by one point to 11 percent. The FDP, unchanged at 4 percent, would miss entering the Bundestag.

For the survey, Infratest dimap interviewed 1,317 eligible voters from Monday to Wednesday. The margin of error is plus/minus two to three percentage points. Election polls are not forecasts but only reflect the opinion at the time of the survey.
