Andrij Illenko, a former member of parliament and fighter in the 'Svoboda' Battalion, spoke in an interview about the current situation at the front in Donbas. He emphasizes that a withdrawal from the region must be seen as 'suicide' for Ukraine. Illenko, who has participated in battles in various regions, including the battle for Bakhmut, describes the front situation as stable, even though Pokrovsk and Myrnohrad are effectively lost.

Illenko explains that his battalion, which is under the command of his former assistant Petro Kuzyk, has seven Heroes of Ukraine, including the first woman to receive this title in the history of the National Guard. He highlights that despite the challenges, the Ukrainian forces are capable of stabilizing the front line and maintaining control over strategically important areas.

Additionally, Illenko reports that the Russian forces face a difficult decision: either to conduct a massive mobilization or to end the so-called 'special operation.' These dilemmas could significantly influence Russia's military strategies and change the dynamics of the conflict.
