The accident occurred on the M-14 highway between the villages of Krasne and Nechayane in the Mykolaiv region. According to police, a Mercedes Sprinter was traveling from Odesa to Mykolaiv. The driver left the road for reasons still unknown, the bus overturned and ended up in the oncoming lane, where it collided with a Volvo truck.
Traffic police investigators are on site, and the accident scene is cordoned off. Police are managing traffic and securing the area for further investigation. The exact cause of the accident is still being determined.
Earlier this month, another serious bus accident occurred in Ukraine: on July 2, four people died when a train collided with a bus in the Rivne region. Thirteen people were injured at that time.
