The Russian occupation administration in Crimea has imposed a nighttime driving ban for motorcycles and similar vehicles starting June 17, 2026. According to Ukrainska Pravda, citing the Russian news agency Interfax, the regulation applies daily from 8:00 PM to 6:00 AM.

The measure affects motorcycles, mopeds, pit bikes, quad bikes, scooters, and other motorized two-wheelers. Occupation chief Sergei Aksyonov justified the restriction by ‘ensuring security and protecting military, state, and special facilities.’

His advisor Oleg Kryuchkov specified on state television that loud motorcycles interfere with the work of mobile fire groups because their sounds resemble those of drones. The ban remains in effect indefinitely.
