The attack occurred on the night of Friday in Myla, Bucha district. The detonation of the ammunition depot triggered massive secondary explosions, which intensified the scale of destruction. In addition to the 38 dead, 20 people were injured, including two children. Four people remain missing.
President Volodymyr Zelensky said that pyrotechnic units of the State Emergency Service are working around the clock to clear the heavily contaminated area of unexploded ordnance. Cleanup operations in Myla are ongoing.
The attack on Myla is part of a massive Russian air offensive. According to the president, Russia launched nearly 2,000 attack drones, more than 1,600 glide bombs, and 31 missiles against Ukraine in the past week alone, including North Korean ballistic missiles.
The Kyiv region has been repeatedly targeted by Russian attacks in recent days. Ukrainian authorities continue to urge the population to remain vigilant, as the threat of further strikes and unexploded munitions in affected areas remains high.
