The community nurse in the District of Cham in Bavaria is part of a pilot project that offers listening, practical help and mediation. According to the district, the specialist is meant to assist with important questions and create links to available services.
The project is aimed at older people with the goal of promoting independence at home. As Bavarian Broadcasting (BR) reports, the community nurse’s duties include counselling as well as pointing out local support options.
