The incident occurred in the evening when the man arrived at the Khmelnytskyi Regional Territorial Center for Recruitment and Social Support with an automatic weapon. According to police, the 31-year-old was intoxicated, and the weapon was legally registered.
During a confrontation with military personnel, he fired several shots towards the fence of the administrative building. No one was injured. Police detained the suspect at the scene and seized the assault rifle, two magazines, and 55 rounds of ammunition.
Investigators are considering charges against the man and are requesting pre-trial detention.
