A bizarre incident occurred at the Egyptian national team's hotel in Dallas ahead of their World Cup round of 16 match against Australia.

Videos on social media show the altercation between security forces and members of the Egyptian delegation. According to the Egyptian Football Association, Hassan wanted to protect the child, which led to the brief confrontation.

Dallas police confirmed the incident and said they were called at the request of the security service after a person without accreditation tried to gain access. The situation was resolved on the spot and is now considered closed.

Egypt faces Australia in the World Cup round of 16 today at 8:00 PM (CEST).
