The EU has paid out another tranche of €2.8 billion to Ukraine, as reported by Tagesschau. Ukraine urgently needs foreign financial aid to cover its state expenditures due to Russia’s war of aggression.
Parallel to this payment, EU defense ministers are deliberating additional military aid for Ukraine. Among other things, they are discussing a new weapons fund worth €6.6 billion.
