Oleksij Hetman, a military analyst, commented on the current stability of the front line in the Ukraine war. He stressed that the war will persist as long as Russia does not understand that it cannot achieve its maximalist goals. Hetman pointed out that many international leaders have attempted to act as mediators, often ending in illusions.

He explained that support for Ukraine, particularly from European partners, is expected to increase. Additionally, Ukraine will begin to produce more of its own weapons, such as missiles and drones. These developments could lead to Russia suffering serious defeats at the front.

As reported by the BBC, such a situation could lay the groundwork for genuine "gestures of goodwill." Hetman recalled previous events, such as the withdrawals of Russian troops from the Kyiv region, which were declared as such gestures, although they were actually due to military failures.

In summary, Hetman stated that hope for peace negotiations can only exist after significant successes by Ukraine at the front. Anything else is merely a waste of time and empty discussions.
