The Collegium 2000 senior home in Kirchheim near Munich is getting new leadership. According to the Süddeutsche Zeitung, a new facility director and a new nursing service manager started work in early June. They are tasked with stabilizing the home after negative financial results and severe internal conflict.
April, the management consultancy Schwan und Partner from Oberhaching, which specializes in social institutions, has taken over the management of Collegium. It is to resolve the personnel disputes and make the home economically viable again. The top priority is to lift the admission freeze imposed by the district office as soon as possible.
At the end of last year, Collegium made headlines because relatives and employees complained about the consequences of the austerity measures implemented since early 2025. The allegations included overworked permanent staff, frequently changing temporary workers, and suffering care quality. The recent changes now give relatives and those responsible cause for optimism.
