Füchse Berlin celebrated a spectacular 43:38 victory over SG Flensburg-Handewitt on the final matchday of the 2025/26 HBL season. The home win secured the Berliners’ qualification for the Champions League once again.
World Handball Player of the Year Mathias Gidsel dominated especially in the first half, making a decisive contribution to the success. Lasse Andersson also proved a key factor in Füchse’s attack, scoring eight goals.
For Flensburg, the season ends in a disappointing position, while Füchse demonstrated their strong form and qualified for Europe’s premier club competition.
