The German Ice Hockey Federation (DEB) has parted ways with national coach Harold Kreis. According to Spiegel, three disappointing tournaments in a row were the reason for the decision. Kreis will no longer be behind the bench when the Ice Hockey World Championship starts in Germany in just under eleven months.
The national team had recently disappointed at the Olympics and the World Championship. The DEB is thus reacting to the lack of success and wants a fresh start before the home World Championship. Kreis’s successor is not yet known.
