The German women’s national football team has secured early qualification for the 2027 World Cup in Brazil. As reported by FAZ, the success shows that head coach Christian Wück has further developed the team. However, the gap to the absolute world elite has not yet been fully closed, the report says.
The team secured the early ticket with a win against Norway in the qualifiers. Wück took over the team in autumn 2023 and has since initiated a restructuring. The World Cup in Brazil will take place in summer 2027.
