The women of Hertha BSC achieved the championship in the Regionalliga Nordost during their debut at the Olympiastadion. In front of 14,500 spectators, Tobias Kurbjuweit's team defeated 1. Erfurt 5-0 (2-0) and can no longer be displaced from the top of the table in the two remaining season matches. The goals were scored by Amelie Blättner (20th minute), Elfie Wellhausen (45th/78th/90+3), and Aurelia Haesler (65th).

Now, the focus shifts to the playoff matches for promotion to the 2. Bundesliga. As reported by Sportschau, Hertha will face the champions of the Southwest division, 1. FC Saarbrücken, on June 13/14 and June 20/21. Hertha Fabian Drescher stated before the season: "We want both teams to move up." While the men's team clearly missed their goal, the women are on track.

1. FC Saarbrücken has already been confirmed as the champions of the Regionalliga Südwest. Saarbrücken women have also performed strongly and are aiming for promotion to the 2. Bundesliga. The matchup promises to be exciting, as both teams dominated this season.
