Ukraine’s State Bureau of Investigation (DBR) stopped former head of the Odesa regional military commissariat, Borysov, as he was leaving Kyiv on June 10. Officers halted a BMW SUV at a checkpoint on the highway to Odesa, Ukrainska Pravda reported, citing its own sources.
Investigators are searching the vehicle as part of a criminal case into money laundering of illegally obtained funds. Borysov is already being tried on multiple charges. The DBR had not issued an official statement at the time of publication.
