Jens Spahn, the CDU politician and former health minister, has confirmed his participation in several secret meetings of Peter Thiel’s dialogue network. According to Correctiv, citing Spahn’s spokesperson, the politician attended the events at “irregular intervals” — namely in 2018 in Ireland, 2019 in Italy, 2022 in Portugal, 2023 in Spain, and 2024 in Germany. The meetings aim to bring together government representatives and Silicon Valley leaders to discuss future topics such as artificial intelligence and longevity.

The meetings took place in various countries, including Ireland, Italy, Portugal, Spain, and Germany. However, Spahn has canceled his attendance at the next planned meeting in Dublin in August 2024. This was confirmed by his spokesperson, who stated that Spahn participated in the events at irregular intervals.

The dialogue network, founded by Thiel in 2006, is known for its exclusive, invitation-only participation. The agenda of the meetings includes controversial topics that are often viewed critically by the public. According to reports, the agenda for the next meeting in Dublin includes items such as “Back to Nuclear Power” and “Getting Through World War III.”

Peter Thiel, a prominent entrepreneur and investor, is known for his libertarian and right-wing conservative views. Recently, he has faced criticism for his apocalyptic worldview and religious ideology. A discussion event with him at the Vienna Festival was canceled due to protests.

The meetings of the dialogue network have remained largely unknown to the public, underscoring the secrecy and exclusivity of the events. The participant list for the upcoming meeting in Dublin is said to include 222 names, among them high-ranking figures such as Alexus Grynkewich, NATO’s Supreme Allied Commander in Europe, and US Senator Ted Cruz.
